The team at Smiles Unlimited
Jasmina has been a part of the oral health industry for the past 10 years. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Technology making her a qualified Dental Technician. She has been a part of the Smiles Unlimited team for the past 4 years, firstly as a Dental Assistant, and now as Practice Manager for our Gregory Hills location. Her favourite thing about her job has been the interaction with patients, and knowing that as a team, we are giving them another reason to smile by making them healthier and happier. She strives to make their dental experience as comfortable as possible by going above and beyond to gain trust and make them feel like they are at home. Jasmina’s favourite thing outside work is her family, and spending quality time with her husband Aleksandar and daughter Eva is what keeps her happy. She loves planning her weekends so she can enjoy her family time.
Dr David Martin
Dr David Martin was drawn into dentistry initially as an 18-year-old, who had a passion for arts in general, and manual crafts in particular. This, combined with his attention to detail and desire to help others, has contributed to his successful 23 years in general dental practice. David’s favourite aspect of dentistry would be in the cosmetic area, however he also finds his daily interactions with people from all walks of life, as something gratifying and priceless. David and Dr Nabil Matti have been close friends since high school, so he has long been part of the Smiles Unlimited family. On his days off, David enjoys taking his wife and 3 children on day trips, nice lunches together, or to the movies.
Dr Peter Elshoura
Dr Peter Elshoura has been working in oral health for the past 5 years. Having completed a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Pharmacy, Peter decided to peruse a career in dentistry, as it is a profession that combines both arts and science. He is very passionate about providing his patients with beautiful smiles, and eliminating any dental pain they may have. Peter’s favourite aspect of dentistry, is smile transformation. He combines his skills in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics to give his patients the beautiful smiles they have always wanted. Peter has worked for smiles Unlimited for 2 years and he really enjoys being part of a very patient focused team, in a great facility that has all the state-of-the-art equipment required to provide outstanding dental care. In his spare time, Peter enjoys spending time with his small family, cooking and going on short “get away” trips
Dr Lina Carillo
Dr Lina Carillo has been with the Smiles Unlimited team for 3 years. She became a dentist 19 years ago as she had a desire to help people to improve their well-being. Lina enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but she has a special interest in orthodontics and oral myology. She loves seeing the end treatment results of her orthodontic patients. Lina is a hard-working Mum, who on her rare days off can be found reading, gardening, knitting and enjoying precious time with her family.
Mieada has been working for Smiles Unlimited for 1 year. This is her first position in the oral health industry, but she has taken to it like a duck to water! Mieada loves all aspects of her work as a Dental Assistant. She particularly loves helping patients to maintain their healthy teeth. On her days off, she spends time with her children, and also enjoys coffee with her Mother and Sister.
Elena joined the Smiles Unlimited family in 2016. Starting off as a Dental assistant, Elena now spends her work days behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly. Elena has extensive dental knowledge which is reflective of her work ethic and attitude. She makes every patient and staff member feel comfortable with her friendly, bubbly and fun nature. Elena also studies Medical Science at uni, working on her long term goal of becoming a dentist!
Oral Health Therapist
Zara graduated as an Oral Health Therapist from Sydney Uni in 2014. Her first position was with Smiles Unlimited, and she has been single-handedly responsible for setting up their successful Hygiene/Therapy department. In September 2018, she completed her Adult Scope studies at Sydney University. Zara loves the challenge of applying what she has learned in her studies, and the attention to detail that her job demands. Zara is able to transform an anxious patient, to someone who is comfortable and relaxed whilst receiving their regular dental treatment. A rare day off will see Zara going to the movies, and looking for interesting new places to dine out. She also uses this time to undertake her continuing studies in Medical Science and Research.
Dr Matthew Said
Dr Matthew Said has recently joined the Smiles Unlimited team. He has been working as a Dentist for the past 2 years, and also has previous experience in the oral health industry as a Dental Assistant. When Matthew was younger, he loved to visit his favourite Dentist, Dr Nabil Matti! He was drawn to dentistry through his fascination with all things science and technology, but he also loves to help his patients to feel confident about their mouths. Matthews favourite aspect of working in oral health, is being able to help his patients, many often quite anxious, to having the smiles they deserve, whilst making a friend along the way.
Oral Health Therapist
Mirna is a new addition to the Smiles Unlimited team, but brings with her a wealth of experience. She has been working as a Dental Assistant for the past 7 years, and has recently graduated as an Oral Health Therapist. Her interest in the oral health industry has stemmed from her wish to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the community. She loves working with children to build their confidence when in the dental chair. She also loves educating patients of all ages about ways to improve their oral health. On her days off, Mirna catches up with appointments and errands, spends time with her family and furthers her oral health education by reading dental texts and watching dental education videos.
